Max Tuck's - Green Power Juice

One of the most important additions you can make to your diet from a
nutritional perspective is the green sprouted foods. Large tray greens,
such as wheatgrass and sunflower greens, are an excellent source of
bio-available protein, and contain all the essential amino acids. From an
energetic perspective, the sunflower greens have the largest Kirlian field
of all, extending out 2 feet in every direction, making them the most
energetic of all plants. For athletic recovery, and fueling for endurance
races, I put all my athlete clients on "green power" juice. Unlike those
widely-touted sports drinks, this contains top quality nutrition that not
only assists in cellular hydration and recovery, but gives whole-body
benefits. See below for the recipe!

Green Power Juice (all ingredients should be organic if possible)
1 cucumber
4 sticks celery
1 handful wheatgrass
1 handful sunflower greens
1 handful pea shoots
1 clove garlic
1 handful kale (optional)
Half a lime
1 inch piece of fresh ginger root
Run all the ingredients through a good single or twin auger juicer (note:
cheap centrifugal juicers are not up to the job, and the Champion juicer
will not do wheatgrass). Drink immediately before a long run or endurance
event, and take some round with you too!
